LEIGH Centurions and Wigan Athletic players helped pupils in the town understand the importance of fitness, diet and relationships.
The teams were invited to Higher Folds Primary, where they also helped students improve their rugby and football skills.
Tennis coach Keith Eckersall popped in to work with pupils on their serving techniques and PC Kelly and PC Burns spent time talking about personal safety and drugs.
Health worker Helen Turner advised children on their diets.
A spokesman for the school said: "We take our obligations to personal, social and health education seriously, but it doesn't stop making sure the pupils have fun while they study."
