WE hear of businesses opening with overdrafts and overheads, taking risks to help the local economy and community, only to become the target of vandalism and theft -- a lifetime of money wiped out, as cost of repairs sore, and with it the insurance premiums. Wiped out by vandalism and theft.

Huge display windows, costing hundreds of pounds, broken twice a month with no redress or help given.

This area is becoming a haven for this activity. Why is this constantly happening? We should be helping businesses, they are the backbone of our community supplying services and revenue. All these people are doing is trying to provide an honest living. Steel back doors should not be necessary items for a business. What is happening to crime in this area?
