I WOULD like to draw attention to what I regard as the fiasco in colleges and sixth-forms across the country, caused by the new AS levels and the spectacularly bad organisation and incompetence of the invigilators and examiners.
A friend of mine sat a physics module and, because she was sent to two wrong rooms, she turned up late for the exam. Fifteen minutes from the end she realised she had been handed the wrong paper (new AS). However, due to having to sit another exam immediately, she was unable to sit the correct physics paper.
This module will presumably now be declared void and so will compromise her entry into university. Unfortunately this sort of incident is far from isolated.
All fellow students should study the minutiae of the cover of their exam papers and do not blindly trust their college to always do their job properly.
