YOUNGSTERS have been invited to get involved in their town’s bid to brighten up spring.
Summerseat Methodist Primary School, alongside local groups, have been involved in this year’s bulb planting scheme in Ramsbottom.
Ramsbottom Rotary Club, Ramsbottom Heritage Society, Nangreaves Residents’ Association and the Holcombe Society planted 7,000 bulbs along Longsight Road.
Coun Yvonne Wright said: “Over the years the local communities in this area have been involved in bulb planting to make the area look beautiful in the spring.
“This is a lovely venture that really makes a difference and we hope too see everyone's efforts rewarded in the springtime.
“A huge thank you to all who helped out.”
