Man breaks arm after rush-hour car and scooter crash

A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a collision between a scooter and a Ford Ka in Colne Road, near the Old Stone Trough at Barnoldswick.

The man, thought to be in his 40s, is believed to have suffered a broken arm in the accident at 5pm yesterday.

The road was closed for around an hour, causing some tailbacks, and reopened shortly after 6pm.
