A 52-YEAR-OLD man with connections to Pendle has gone missing from home.

Police are appealing for information on John Ritchie who was last seen in Wharfdale Avenue, in Brierfield, on Sunday afternoon at around 3pm.

Mr Ritchie is thought to have links to Colne, Nelson, Burnley and also Burscough in West Lancashire.

He was last seen weaing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, a black or green coat and black trainers. Lancashire Police officers say that they are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Sgt Phil Turner, from Colne Police, said: “It’s now been over 24 hours since Mr Ritchie went missing and we are urging anyone, including John himself, to please get in contact and let us know that he is OK.

“I would also say to Mr Ritchie that his family are worried, and I would like to reassure him that he is not in any trouble at all, we just want him back home safe and well.”

Mr Ritchie is described as white, 5ft 10ins, of medium build, with short, straight dyed black hair. He speaks with a North West accent.
