HUNDREDS of East Lancashire ladies enjoyed a girls’ night out with a difference this weekend – raising thousands of pounds for charity.
Women of all ages swapped a night on the tiles for 6.2 miles of walking around Burnley in aid of Pendleside Hospice on Friday night.
The 10k route, which started at Turf Moor and ventured out across the M65 towards Gannow, was completed by 800 women, with hundreds more lining the streets to cheer on their friends and family.
Most participants wore pink headgear and fancy dress, with many sporting messages which outlined their own reasons for taking part.
