A YOUNG carers project is calling on the community to vote for it to win a National Lottery Award.
The Young Carers Nature Challenge, run by The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) in Lancashire, has reached the final in the environment category and needs votes to win.
The project was created to provide young carers with respite from their caring responsibilities, while giving them the opportunity to discover and explore the natural world through a range of nature-based games and practical conservation activities.
The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects.ross the UK.
The winning project in each category will receive national recognition on a star-studded BBC One TV show in early September and a £2,000 cash prize to spend on their project.
Voting for the finals ends at midnight on July 23.
