A PRIMARY school has announced plans to introduce a special uniform for its Year Six children.
Teachers at St Anne’s and St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School, in Sandy Lane, Accrington said a different coloured sweatshirt for children in the top year would ‘look and make them feel different’. A letter to parents said: “We want parents’ backing and will not go ahead if it will cause financial problems or difficulties we can’t support or overcome.
“If we go ahead we will build up a supply of spares in school and will support anyone who genuinely needs financial support for this item of uniform.”
