COUNCILLORS are set to debate Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw’s second expenses bungle on Monday.

His revealation that he had been mistakenly paid £796.70 in excess mileage is expected to be raised when the county’s Police and Crime Panel meets at Blackpool Town Hall.

On Saturday, the Lancashire Telegraph revealed he faced renewed calls for his resignation after admitting the second blunder, blaming a clerical error.

Sam Chapman, who revealed after Mr Grunshaw’s election in November 2012 the PCC had ‘overclaimed’ £1,550 during previous county council work, said: “I would expect this second expenses problem to be raised at the panel.”

He has tabled a question about its oversight of Mr Grunshaw’s work.
