HIGH SCHOOL students explored the great outdoors to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh award.
A total of 14 Year 10 and 11 Ridgewood High students took part in a camping expedition at Worston, near Clitheroe.
Pupils took part in a 8K walk towards Waddow Hall Girl Guide Centre, where they stayed for two nights.
The second day took them on a walk through the Ribble Valley Sculpture trail near Waddington and along the River Ribble. One of their goals on the journey was to identify the different trees, plants, birds and animal tracks of our region for example.
The team qualified for the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award from the expedition.
