IT is set to be a wet one in East Lancashire this weekend, but there is still plenty going on to keep you occupied.

Mods are invading Colne from Friday for the North by North West Festival at Colne Muni.

Headlining the two-day event will be founder member of The Jam, Bruce Foxton and From the Jam, and the ever-popular Bad Manners led by Buster Bloodvessel.

There will also be a rally featuring some vintage Vespas and Lambrettas as well as a collection of Minis. Contact the Muni box office on 01282 661234 to book a ticket.

There’s more music at the Atrium Cafe in Clitheroe on Friday at 7pm with a performance from award-winning alto saxophone player, Soweto Kinch.

The celebrated jazz and hip hop artist will bring his trio to the venue in the castle grounds in this post-jazz festival event.

Over in Accrington, the Haworth Art Gallery is hosting an arts and crafts market from 12 until 4pm.

There is the chance to meet artists from the Haworth Artist Network and orginal prints and handmade crafts will be on sale.

On Saturday, the Festival Bowland 2014 will continue with The Water Story. The Forest of Bowland is an important water gathering area and the Pendleside village of Barley has a string of reservoirs on its doorstep.

Join United Utilities ranger, David Oyston, for a walk around Ogden Reservoir and Fell Wood and find out just what's involved in bringing clean water to our taps.

The event is perfect for school children around the age of ten, but they must be accompanied by an adult and be able to walk around 4 miles.

Elsewhere in Burnley, Queen Street Mill is hosting a weekend of Steampunk, including market stalls, family entertainment and a steam engine called Peace, running throughout the day.

Steampunk embraces fashions, culture, architectural style and art from an alternative history of the Victorian era.

In Blackburn, there will be cookery demonstrations with chef, Phillipa James in the market from 10am on Saturday and Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery will launch a new exhibition on local experiences of the First World War.
