SEVEN men have been charged with drugs conspiracy offences after a series of dawn raids across Burnley and Pendle yesterday.
Warrants were executed at seven properties in Brierfield and Burnley, and business premises in Brierfield, Great Harwood, Barnoldswick and Salford, by Lancashire Police’s serious and organised crime unit.
Detectives have now charged seven men with conspiracy to to supply class A drugs, believed to include heroin and cocaine.
Those charged include Mohammed Zishan Amjad, 26, of Eskdale Close,, Shiraz Afzal, 27, of Limefield Avenue, Brierfield, Ihsaan Ali, 45, of Heyhead Street, Brierfield, , Haroon Mahmood, 24, of John Street, all Brierfield, Anwar Ahmed, 28, of Colne Road, and Ziad Khaliq, 28, of Devonshire Road, both Burnley.
Furqan Amjad, 24, of Halifax Road, Brierfield, has also been charged with the conspiracy and possession of criminal property. All seven are due to appear before Preston magistrates today.
