STUDENTS from Blackburn College have been aiding research for a local project.
The college’s Health and Social Care and Business Degree students took part in a research project on behalf of Blackburn’s Healthwatch.
Topics they researched included sexual health, GP services and mental health and well-being. Their research took place at Blackburn College through questionnaires and focus groups to get young people’s perceptions of the services in the NHS.
Several health professionals attended a presentation of the findings and they took note of the recommendation.
It is the second year running that the college has worked with Blackburn with Darwen’s Healthwatch board, a local board chaired by Blackburn College chair Sir Bill Taylor.
