PERFORMERS from Burnley and Padiham will be in the spotlight this week as Britain’s Got Talent reaches the semi-final stage.
Singer Andrew Derbyshire and dancer Steph Morville were told on Sunday that they had reached the penultimate round of the ITV talent show.
Former Accrington and Rossendale College student Andrew had already impressed the judges with his rendition of Jocelyn Brown’s Somebody Else’s Guy.
And now the 31-year-old, who has styled himself as the ‘Male Diva’, after a remark by Simon Cowell, is pledging to produce a ‘showstopper’ to secure his final berth.
Steph and her seven colleagues from Crazy Rouge were lauded for bringing some old-fashioned Las Vegas glitz to BGT.
The eventual winner of the Ant and Dec fronted show will get to perform for The Queen at the Royal Variety Show and win £250,000.
Andrew Derbyshire is 66/1 to win the show with Crazy Rouge an outside chance at 200/1. (William Hill)
