A MEETING between neighbourhood police and highways staff has taken place over reducing the speed of vehicles in Lydgate, Briercliffe.
PCSO Rachel Lonsdale said: “The residents on the estate have been pointing out that the traffic does travel fast along here and quite often cut the corner.
“I have issued wheelie bin stickers to half of the estate saying ’20mph is plenty’ and will be carrying on with this next week.
“Highways are having a look into a couple of options on this road and have stated that they are able to put another bracket for our SpID (Speed Indicator Device) on here however there isn’t a post suitable.”
