AN elderly man was taken to hospital earlier today following a car crash in Burnley town centre.
The incident happened at the junction of Finsley Gate and Parker Lane at around 9.40am.
The 70-year-old man was driving a blue Hyundai Accent, which was involved collision with a black Fiat Punto.
Two fire engines were called to the scene along with police and paramedics, and the man was cut out of the vehicle.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with suspected spinal injuries, which are not thought to be serious.
