FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a factory blaze in Helmshore.
Four fire engines were called to an external plant building, in Broadway, at around 2pm today.
The crews, from Rawtenstall, Haslingden, and Hyndburn, used breathing masks and hose reels to bring the fire under control and to stop it spreading to the main building.
They remain at the scene.
A fire service spokesman said: “Despite significant amounts of smoke being given off at the site, there was no risk to members of the public.”
A full investigation will begin when the fire is fully extinguished.
