A THEATRE show that takes a fresh perspective on life in modern Britain is coming to Barnoldswick this Friday.
States of Verbal Undress is the provocative show that is based on interviews with a Vietnamese drag artist, a Burmese activist and a Chinese man who grew up in Jamaica.
The vibrant and lively show brings to life colourful characters cutting across race, gender and age to offer a fresh perspective of what makes up modern Britain.
An immigrant herself, writer and artistic director Rani Moorthy explores how being an immigrant reinvents your identity and the interesting complexities of what makes us a nation.
The show will be performed at the Rainhall Centre, with the evening starting at 6.30pm with an Asian food tasting event.
Sue Robinson, from Spot On, the theatre company that is bringing the show to Lancashire, said: “Whatever your view on immigration, this thought-provoking production could well be the trigger to make you see things very differently.”
