Renowned company puts Clitheroe castle at the heart of impressive photo shoot
AN INTERNATIONALLY-RENOWNED lighting company got a glowing reception when it lit up an East Lancashire castle.
Clitheroe Castle was lit up by manufacturers acdc, which is based in Barrowford, to demonstrate the effect of its new Fusion floodlight.
It saw the castle drenched in colours including burnt orange, dark blue and shocking pink.
It was launched at the international Light and Building Exhibition in Frankfurt, in Germany, and the castle was chosen as a perfect venue to demonstrate the outs-tanding lights.
Gareth Frankland, CEO at acdc, said: “We were extremely excited to visit a local beauty spot to demonstrate the effects of Fusion.
“We were delighted when Ribble Valley Council kindly agreed to work with us to light up the castle and achieve the spectacular photo shoot to demonstrate Fusion’s ability to bring light to life.”
The company also visited the 70m high Broadcasting Tower in Leeds and The John Rylands Library, a late-Victorian neo-Gothic building in Deansgate, Manchester.
Mr Frankland added: “Fusion won the lighting design award last year and will be an extremely important product launch for the company.
“Acdc already works with some of the world’s leading lighting designers, architects and designers on some of the world’s most prestigious projects but were passionate about taking Fusion to more local prestigious buildings as part of the launch.”
