A TRAILER being used to store a quad bike was set on fire outside a Burnley house.
Firefighters went to Chichester Close around 8.30pm yesterday to put out the flames, but when they arrived, the blaze had already been tackled by the owner.
Crew manager Tom Mellor said the fire was thought to have been started deliberately.
He said: “Somebody had set fire to the tarpaulin over the trailer.
“The owner extinguished it themselves with a fire extinguisher.
“We are treating the case as suspicious and investigating it with the police.”
Mr Mellor said there was moderate fire damage to the tarpaulin and very light damage to one of the bike’s wheels.
