BURNLEY residents wanting to vote in local and European parliamentary elections next month must be on the electoral register by May 6.

More than five million people across the North West will have the opportunity to vote in European elections to select the region’s eight Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).

At the same time, electors in Burnley will be choosing local councillors with one seat in each of the borough’s 15 wards up for grabs.

Anyone who is not registered can visit www.burnley.gov.uk to download a registration form. Alternatively, or if they need to update their details or check whether they are on the register, they should email cleaver@burnley.gov.uk, or call 01282 477261.
