BAR staff at the Feilden’s Arms dared to be bare to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice with a ‘nearly-naked’ calendar.

Seven pint-pullers at the Preston Old Road pub stripped down to their underwear, and posed for photos.

The six women and one man were told to strike a pose for the camera, concealing their modesty with dart boards, the pool table and, of course, the bar at the Feniscowles pub.

Landlady Bev Holgate-Johnson, who was one of those who posed for the calendar, said: “I’ve had the idea for a while. Each year, we do a sponsored walk and split the money between the hospice and Cancer Research UK, but this year we just decided to do things differently.

"We are going to do our sponsored walk on Bank Holiday Sunday in August for Cancer Research UK but, on the day, we will now also be selling our calendars to raise money for the hospice.”

Lancashire Telegraph:

When asked about the experience of undressing in front of a photographer, Bev just laughed. “I suppose we were all a bit nervous at first, but we just got on with it. We had a real laugh doing it.”

Hospice fundraiser Kimberley Hall said: “The girls and guys at the Feilden’s Arms are already great hospice supporters, but their new calendar shows them going the extra mile to raise funds. We’re sure it will be a huge hit and, most importantly, will help us continue caring for patients and their families.”
