POLICE have now identified a man who died after falling from a railway bridge in Colne.
The man was discovered by a member of the public at the arches near to the Cotton Millworks, Knotts Lane, Colne at about 8pm on Sunday March 16th.
The man had apparently fallen or jumped from the railway bridge above and sustained fatal injuries.
Police were called by the North West Ambulance Service.
While his identity was initially unknown police inquiries led to him being identified as Paul Naughton, 54 years, from Burran Meadow in Colne.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been passed to HM Coroner.
