A UNIVERSITY is urging would-be teachers across Lancashire to access a new scheme.
The University of Central Lancashire is offering a support to graduates who need experience in secondary schools before becoming a teacher.
UCLan has launched their Teaching Experience Programme, which will be tailored to each participant’s degree subject.
Students will have a day at UCLan to learn about teaching and then a day at Bishop Rawstorne CE Academy in Croston, observing lessons in their preferred subject area.
On the final day they will be back at UCLan to reflect and receiving one-to-one guidance.
Students taking part will have DBS checks paid for by the university.
