CLINICIANS from Airedale Hospital will travel to a conference to demonstrate how they have used technology to improve care.

About 10,000 people from health and social care professions, the voluntary sector, and patients will take part in The Health and Care Innovation Expo 2014, which is being held in Manchester on March 3 and 4.

The aim is to inspire delegates by providing them with tools to improve services and the health of everyone.

Airedale will be demonstrating its innovative telemedicine work, which has enabled doctors to assess East Lancashire care home residents via a video link.

Chief Executive Bridget Fletcher said: “We are looking forward to this exciting event which gives us the chance to share our learning with interested delegates from throughout the whole country.

“We also hope to learn from others who have brought about innovative changes to how they deliver healthcare for the benefit of their local community.”
