A DRIVER and a passenger were taken to hospital this morning after being involved in a crash in Barrowford.

The emergency services were called shortly after 6.30am after receiving reports of a Vauxhall Corsa on its side in Wheatley Lane Road.

The fire service said it appeared the car had hit a lamppost and a wall before flipping over.

The driver and passenger both got out before the emergency services arrived and were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.

The road remained open.

Why take them to Blackburn? They are not badly injured, what was wrong with Burnley hospital. the so called urgent care centre.
