THE providers of the UK’s fastest broadband network are staging a free drop-in session for East Lancashire businesses.

Experts from 6G Internet, which is based in Simonstone, have extended an open invitation to any businesses keen to learn more about the future of wireless internet communications.

The session, which is free to attend, will take place tomorrow between 10am and 1pm at the Blackburn Rovers Enterprise Centre.

James Roberts, Engineering Manager at 6G, said: “Businesses are becoming more and more reliant on the internet so faster connections and greater capacity is increasingly important.

“We believe the future of broadband lies in radio technology and the idea of the drop-in session is to give businesses a greater understanding of wireless internet communications, and what difference this technology could make to your business.”

6G have spent five years and invested millions of pounds developing ‘next generation’ broadband, which utilises air fibre technology to deliver speeds from 10Mbps to 10Gbps.

Blackburn recently became the first town in the UK to receive 6G technology.
