IMPROVEMENTS to the skate park at Sough Park are set to be rubber-stamped by councillors next week.
Pendle Council is considering £7,500 on upgrading the facilities in the park after complaints that it wasn’t challenging enough.
Kieron Roberts, from Pendle Council, said: “The skate/cycle park was built in 2000. Some of the equipment came from Alkincoats Park skate park after it was shut down.
“These pieces of equipment are approximately 15-20 years old. The equipment is old and the facility does look tired.
“The skate/cycle park has already been the subject of costings in relation to recommended repairs as a result of general wear and tear and acts of vandalism.”
