A UNIQUE hand-crafted map of Lancashire is touring 24 libraries throughout the county including Accrington, Burnley, Great Harwood, Colne and Rawtenstall.

The People’s Patchwork was created as part of ‘Up for Arts’, a project encouraging the people of Lancashire to take part in arts and crafts for fun.

Craft groups across Lancashire were asked to make a knitted or crafted square to represent their corner of the county.

More than 60 groups took part in an attempt to showcase their local areas..

At Chorley Library from February 17 to 28, the patchwork moves onto Clayton-le-Moors in April and Colne in May.

Later in the year it will be on display at county council libraries in Accrington, Burnley, Euxton, Great Harwood, Haslingden, Longridge, Nelson, Oswaldtwistle and Rawtenstall.
