PENDLESIDE Hospice’s annual Light up a Life event has raised £105,000.
Almost 8,000 lights shone at the hospice over Christmas as people remembered loved ones no longer with us by dedicating a coloured light to their memory.
Lights were displayed on the outside of the hospice building and first lit at a service at the hospice before Christmas.
Kaye Bartle, fundraising manager, said: “It can be a comfort to know a light is shining out in remembrance.”
It’s still not too late to make sure the name of your loved one goes into the Book of Remembrance.
You can make a dedication online at www.pendleside.org.uk, or telephone the fundraising office on 01282 440120.
