Nelson teenager’s jaw broken by gang

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was left with a fractured jaw after he was attacked by a group of youths in Nelson.

The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Tuesday in Hibson Road.

Police said that the youngster was attacked from behind as he was walking down the road by a group possibly as big as eight people.

The youngster was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital after being found on the floor by a passer-by, but he was released that night.

He also had cuts and bruises to his hands and face.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested by police yesterday and is being questioned by officers.
