A HOUSE burglar who broke a window, put his arm in, and helped himself to a haul from a window sill, could be jailed.
Ronald Houghton, 58, of Penistone Street, Burnley, was caught after leaving blood.
He admitted burglary at the property, in Padiham Road, Burnley, on November 22.
The town’s crown court was told he stole a tablet, car keys, gift vouchers, credit and debit cards.
Houghton was sentenced to three months in prison for a burglary in 2012 but, before that, had not committed one since 1978.
He was bailed until January 22 for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Judge Jonathan Gibson warned the defendant: “Any house burglary is serious, and custody is going to be uppermost in the mind of the judge.”
