The Rt Rev John Goddard welcomed the new readers
FOURTEEN new readers have been licensed by the Bishop of Burnley to practise across Lancashire churches.
The Right Rev John Goddard welcomed the newcomers during a ceremony at St Cuthbert’s Church in Lytham.
Five will serve at parishes in the East Lancashire and Chorley area, according to Blackburn diocese officials. Christine Ritson has been licensed for Accrington St John with Huncoat St Augustine and Lisa Peynado for Colne and Villages Team Ministry.
Gary Bullock will be associated with Heapey St Barnabas and Withnell St Paul, Janet Haworth at Salesbury St Peter, and Kathleen Sturzaker with Longridge St Lawrence with St Paul.
