BLESSED Trinity Roman Catholic College’s ‘excellent behaviour’ has been praised by Lancashire County Council.
Bob Stott, director of universal and early support services at LCC, was given a tour of the Ormerod Road secondary school by head teacher Richard Varey and also saw a school day in full swing.
And he came out singing the Burnley school’s praises in a letter to Mr Varey.
“I was extremely impressed by the calm atmosphere that pervaded the entire school,” said Mr Stott.
“The standard of uniform worn by your young people was excellent as was the behaviour demonstrated right across the school.
“The standards on display were of a high quality and the relationships between staff and students were respectful and extremely positive.”
Blessed Trinity’s GCSE results have improved for the last three years and this year they celebrated their best ever results – excelling those of predecessors St Theodore’s and St Hilda’s.
