MORE than 1,000 stickers have been given out by retailers as part of a ‘local’ Christmas shopping campaign in Pendle.
Just a fortnight into the Festive Fandango drive, shopkeepers in Nelson, Colne and Barnoldswick are reporting keen interest among shoppers.
If customers notch up five stickers on postcards, after spending £5 or more at a local store, they are entitled to a collection of vouchers to spend in January. Hanna Latty, town centres officers, said: “It’s not too late to take part.” The scheme has been backed by former Apprentice star Azhar Siddique, from Colne.
Shoppers can hand in completed Festive Fandango postcards – with all five stickers – at Colne Town Hall, the Rainhall Centre in Barnoldswick and the ACE Centre in Nelson.
