Law firm Farleys help raise funds for East Lancashire Hospice
12:56pm Tuesday 10th December 2013 in News
THE wills and probate team at law firm Farleys helped raise funds for East Lancashire Hospice.
The Farleys’ team took part in the hospice’s annual Will Week last month, during which time it provided people with free wills in return for a donation to the hospice.
More than £600 was raised during the week, all of which will go towards assisting in the hospice’s provision of specialist care, supportive care and end-of-life care for patients and their families in the region.
Phil Taylor, head of wills, trusts and estate planning at Farleys said: “Statistics indicate that a staggering 61 per cent of people in the per cent UK die without a valid will, two thirds of which are reported to have children under the age of 18.
“Although it is something none of us like to think about, having a will in place will ensure that upon our death, our wishes regarding our estates, and property or prized possessions, are carried out.”
