HUNDREDS of people are expected to attend the annual Lancashire Telegraph Christmas Carols Service this Thursday.
The popular event takes place at Blackburn Cathedral.
Before the service, there will be a lantern parade through the town centre.
The parade will begin in King William Street at around 6pm.
It will be led by a samba band, walking around the town to the cathedral grounds, for the annual fireworks spectacular at 6.45pm.
Before the service begins at 7.30pm, a selection of seasonal music will be played by the Salvation Army Band.
The cathedral choristers will then lead the singing, with the band playing.
