PENDLE Council has launched a new free service which allows people to use their smart phones to record and report noise nuisance.

‘Noise Nuisance App’, available on iPhones and android phones, allows you to record noise as it happens, allowing you to build up a diary of evidence to validate any noise complaint.

Once you have enough evidence, you can email it directly to the council, at the touch of a button.

The app automatically records the time, location and date of the noise nuisance and allows you to grade how intrusive you find the noise.

It means the council doesn’t need to place recording equipment in your home as you just use your smart phone to record the noise nuisance.
