A BURNLEY author has released a new novel about the effects of global warming.
The Phoenix Affair by Paul Marx, of Gainsborough Avenue, Rosehill, hit bookshelves in November and takes a fictional look at the social impact of climate change.
Mr Marx, a former aerospace engineer, said he was inspired to write the book because he felt politicians were “dodging the real issue behind the world’s environmental issues”.
He added: “Every natural disaster has a social and economic knock-on effect.
“I was keen to show how global warming could affect people at a grassroots level.”
The Phoenix Affair is available through publishing firm AuthorHouseUK.
