VOLUNTEERS are needed for a river clean-up at a Colne nature reserve.
The Ribble Rivers Trust has organised the clean-up of Wanless Water, in Greenfields Nature Reserve, next Wednesday. The event runs from 10.30am to 3pm and the trust is appealing for volunteers.
Anybody wanting to take part can meet at the Barrowford Locks car park on Greenfield Road at 10.30am, taking a packed lunch. The Ribble Rivers Trust will provide wellies/waders, gloves and all necessary tools. They will also provide refreshments in the form of tea, coffee and biscuits.
