Fatal crash on A4103 - police appeal for witnesses

POLICE would like to speak to anyone who witnessed a fatal collision on the main Hereford to Worcester road yesterday.

The 22-year-old from Hereford was driving a white Citroen Saxo which was in collision with a blue Mazda 2 on the Worcester side of Fromes Hill at around 4.25pm.

"The driver of the Citroen was taken to hospital but sadly died shortly after arrival," said PC Robert Anning, who is investigating the crash.

"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

“The woman driving the Mazda suffered suspected leg injuries in the collision.

“As with all serious road traffic collisions where someone has died, we are carrying out an investigation into the circumstances.

“We believe the driver who was fatally injured started his journey in the Malvern area and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen his vehicle in the time leading up to the crash.

“We’re also keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the other car involved before the collision happened.”
