POP sensation Diana Vickers has announced that she will be a support act for singer Olly Murs at a number of his summer concerts.

The former X factor finalist will open shows for the ‘Army Of Two’ hitmaker on June 2 at The Embankment in Peterborough and at Powderham Castle in Exeter on July 7.

The Huncoat singer, 21, who confirmed the news via a video message on Youtube, said: “I did some last summer and it was so much fun.

“I love working with Olly, he’s great.”

Diana said on Twitter: “I’ll be supporting the lovely @Olly-Official in Peterborough on 2nd June. Exeter on 7th July, Get your tickets now.”

Diana will be supporting Olly alongside Tich, Stooshe and Ed Drewett at the Peterbourgh gig.

She shot to fame in 2008 when she made the final of the fifth series of The X Factor, with her debut single, Once, reaching number one in the UK in April 2010.

Her first album, Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree, entered the charts at number one in May 2010, but she announced in June 2011 that she had spilt from record label RCA Records by ‘mutual consent and for purely creative reasons’.

Diana confirmed earlier this month that she had signed with SO Records and is due to release her new single, Cinderella, on July 21, with her new album, Music to Make Boys Cry, being released in the autumn.
