SPEEDY ARRIVAL: Kylie, Paul and baby Eden in the back seat
A NEW dad had a terrifying drive to hospital when his wife starting giving birth in the back seat.
Kylie Morrison’s waters broke as she was on her way to Burnley Hospital.
Husband Paul said he was stunned when his wife began giving birth in the back seat of his brother Joseph’s new Peugeot 307.
He said: “Kylie’s waters broke on the M65 and the baby’s head was sticking out.
“And when we got to hospital in Burnley she only needed one push and this big 9lb monster came out.
“She was the heaviest baby born in the hospital on Mother’s Day.”
Paul and Kylie, of Pilmuir Road, Blackburn, named the girl, their second child, Eden, after she was born at 2pm.
Mr Morrison said they had little warning that the baby was on its way. He said: “We had just woke up and Kylie said it was happening.
“Her waters broke in my brother’s new car and prior to it happening he had said, ‘if you start giving birth in here I will stop the car and you can get out!’. Obviously he didn’t mean it, but he did have to pay £45 to have his back seat cleaned.”
