Revamped Nelson homes go on sale
3:27pm Monday 18th March 2013 in News
THE latest group of refurbished homes in the Whitefield area of Nelson is set to go on the market.
Pendle Council has renovated 14 empty houses, including four houses which have been converted to two-into-ones to make homes for larger families.
Mosley Street will join Stanley Street and Albert Street as improved terraces close to the enlarged Whitefield Nursery and Infant School, which opens in September 2014.
The houses for sale are displayed in the window at the Contact Centre and in the display cabinets outside Nelson Town Hall.
Coun Joe Cooney, leader of Pendle Council, said: “For people who don’t know Whitefield it can seem a bit tucked away, but these attractive houses are in a really good position and, thanks to the investment we’ve made, this is becoming a really attractive part of Nelson.
“More regeneration is starting in Whitefield to create a brand new school so this is a great place to raise a family."
