FUNDRAISERS at BAE Systems put their nose in the air for Comic Relief.
Using the supersonic Typhoon jet to lead their cash collecting nose-drive, staff got Red Nose Day under way yesterday).
The aerospace company went to great lengths to create the perfect nose for the jet.
The company contacted Media Village in Altham, who specialise in exhibition equipment, to create the purpose-measured polystyrene nose to inspire staff to join in.
BAE aircraft fitter Alan Quinn, who has sold more than 1,500 red noses for Comic Relief, led the staff celebrations. Alan who works at the Samlesbury base said: “Everyone here has been really generous and got into the Red Nose spirit, even the Typhoon.”
