Burnley nursery is rated 'good'

A nursery school has been given a ‘good’ rating by Ofsted.

An inspection carried out by the independent body at Stoneyholme Nursery School, in March Street, Burnley, found teaching at the centre was good.

Sue Sharkey, lead inspector for Ofsted, said: “Children enjoy taking part in a wide range of activities so they soon become enthusiastic learners.

“Children who are at a very early stage of learning English are supported well by teachers and teaching assistants who together speak several languages.

“This helps children to play a full part in school life.

“Parents are happy with the good quality education that their children are receiving.”
