Barnoldswick man jailed over domestic violence attacks
2:00pm Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
A BARNOLDSWICK man has been jailed for 16 weeks by magistrates in a domestic violence case.
Colin Ian William Simpson, 29, of St Mary’s Avenue, Barnoldswick, was imprisoned by Blackburn magistrates after he admitted assaulting Laura Greenwood on February 6.
The court heard the victim was in fear for her life during the ordeal.
Magistrates also imposed a two-year restraining order on Simpson, to keep him at least 50 metres from Miss Greenwood or her home.
