A voice for over-50s
2:27pm Tuesday 12th February 2013 in News
THE leader of Burnley Council is encouraging residents to attend the Burnley Over-50s’ Forum.
Coun Julie Cooper said: “The Over-50s’ Forum can play a vital role in getting the views, and concerns, of older people across, and I can assure them the council will listen. I will make it a priority.
“The forum can help shape council policy and services, and play its part as an important voice for the older community. That’s why I attend its meetings, and why I’d like to see more people becoming members.”

....on snooping online managed to find a site where organisations were listed and discovered it is at Town Hall, Burnley but unless one has the internet as mpmoney says, one wouldn't know this!!!
I am not quite 50 yet (another yr plus to go) but I wouldn't say I am one of the 'older people' especially when I am going to have to work until I am, what, 66 now (or has my older memory let me down???).

Does the lack of content mean that they do not want "old grumpies",going to the meetings?
