Last chance to bid for sports funding in Pendle
2:06pm Tuesday 12th February 2013 in News
YOUNG Pendle athletes have until the end of the week to apply for help with their sporting ambitions.
Pendle Leisure Trust is looking for young, talented athletes who could qualify for support with training and competition costs.
If you know someone aged between 12 and 18, who lives in Pendle and has represented the county in their sport, then they may be eligible for help with training or possibly a grant.
Clive Escreet, Pendle Leisure Trust’s sports development manager, said: “This scheme recognises the importance of supporting Pendle’s young people in achieving their sporting goal.
“Through the creation of the Talented Athletes Fund, young sportsmen and women will be helped and encouraged to compete in regional, national and even international competitions.”
For an application pack, call Louise Cooper at Colne Town Hall on 01282 661236. Applications must be returned by February 15.
